Looking Forward to the Man I’m Becoming

Looking Forward to the Man I’m Becoming

Being raised in the church, I knew of Jesus but didn’t have a personal relationship with Him. After years of self-destruction through alcohol and drugs, I found myself in a desperate situation where I was faced with the decision of choosing life as an addict and criminal, or salvation and freedom in Jesus.

In February of 2005, I was in jail lying on a bunk and I heard an audible voice say, “Kenny, if you continue on this path, you will have two choices: an early death or the rest of your life in prison.” Fortunately, Word Of Life came and ministered to the men in the Stockade and I made the decision to come into the New Life Dream Men’s Center that July.

There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t reflect on the man that I was and look forward to the man that I’m becoming and what Christ is doing in my life.

Through the faithful prayers of a loving mother and the passion and dedication of the New Life Dream Centers, I rededicated my life to Jesus. I’d always had a desire to serve the Lord, but lacked the discipline to make the commitment. That’s where the New Life Dream Center for Men comes into play. They instructed me in how to live as a man of God.

After completion of the [then] 18-month NLCM program in December of 2006, I now serve as an IT consultant for a successful computer company. I administrate multiple companies’ computer networks (including WOLM Fort Myers). I also work diligently to help create the “God Has the Answer” television program by working as part of the WOLM Fort Myers Video Ministry.

There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t reflect on the man that I was and look forward to the man that I’m becoming and what Christ is doing in my life.
